Why are US and UK shoe sizes different?+
Both use the barleycorn system (1/3 inch per size) but start at different reference points. UK and US men's sizes differ by about 0.5-1 size. US women's sizes are typically 1.5 sizes smaller than US men's (men's 9 ≈ women's 10.5).
What is a EU size 42?+
EU 42 is approximately US men's 9, US women's 10.5, or UK 8. EU sizes use the Paris point system where each size = 2/3 cm. EU sizes are unisex - the same number applies to both men and women.
