Comment utiliser Digital Storage Converter
Enter a data size in bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, terabytes, or petabytes. The tool instantly converts across all digital storage units. It also shows the binary (1024-based) and decimal (1000-based) conversions side by side, which is crucial for understanding why your "1 TB" drive shows less space than expected.

Questions fréquentes
Why does my 1TB drive show only 931GB?+
Hard drive manufacturers use decimal units (1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes), but operating systems use binary units (1 TiB = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes). The drive has exactly the advertised capacity - the discrepancy is purely a units mismatch.
What is the difference between MB and MiB?+
MB (megabyte) officially means 1,000,000 bytes (decimal), while MiB (mebibyte) means 1,048,576 bytes (binary, 1024²). In practice, many systems still use "MB" to mean the binary value, which causes confusion.
