Questions fréquentes

What is Unix time?+
Unix time (also called Epoch time or POSIX time) counts the number of seconds that have elapsed since January 1, 1970, 00:00:00 UTC. It provides a universal, timezone-independent way to represent a point in time as a single integer.
What is the Year 2038 problem?+
Unix timestamps stored as 32-bit signed integers will overflow on January 19, 2038. Modern systems use 64-bit integers, which won't overflow for 292 billion years. The issue primarily affects legacy embedded systems and old databases.
