What is Neumorphism (Soft UI)?+
Neumorphism is a design language that mimics physical, extruded plastic real-world objects. Instead of standard drop-shadows, the element and the background share the exact same hex color. Depth is uniquely achieved using two shadows: one light and one dark on opposite corners.
Is Neumorphism accessible?+
Pure Neumorphism often suffers from severe accessibility (A11y) issues. WCAG contrast guidelines require sufficient contrast between interactive elements and backgrounds. Because Neumorphism uses identical colors, visually impaired users may struggle to identify the boundaries of elements like buttons.
