What is a complementary color scheme?+
Complementary colors sit opposite each other on the color wheel (e.g., blue and orange, red and green). They create maximum contrast and visual impact. Use one as the dominant color and the other as an accent for the most effective results.
How many colors should a design have?+
The 60-30-10 rule is a classic approach: 60% dominant/neutral color, 30% secondary color, 10% accent color. Most professional designs use 3-5 colors maximum, including neutrals (black, white, gray).
